In a major development, the convoy of Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal met with an accident on Saturday. As per reports, the incident occurred when a Thar vehicle accompanying the convoy, driven by a DSP, collided with a bus.
As per reports, the accident occurred when Sukhbir Badal had arrived to distribute relief material. The incident occurred in Vichoha village.
A video from the spot has surfaced in which a damaged Thar can be seen. Furthermore, a damage SUV can also be seen. It means, it was a multiple car collision.
Members of the convoy immediately rushed to assist, helping people exit the damaged vehicles and the bus. The collision also led to a traffic jam on the road.
Local police reached the spot soon after receiving information and took stock of the situation.
Sukhbir Singh Badal reached Vichoha village to launch flood relief initiative. As part of the relief drive, Badal flagged off 200 trolleys of fodder for cattle.
Sukhbir Singh Badal said that this fodder assistance is being provided to more than 100 villages of Ajnala constituency. He said that the Akali Dal will also send seeds for wheat sowing in the next phase for the flood-affected farmers
