A social media post attributed to Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH) has claimed responsibility for the recent firing on RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sukhchain Singh in Ajnala. The claim was made through a press release circulating online and dated October 4, 2026.

According to the post, TTH claimed that it carried out a “targeted attack” on Indian Police under what it called ‘Operation Noor’, in which ASI Sukhchain Singh was injured. The post also issued a threat against police personnel, claiming that further attacks would continue.

ASI Sukhchain Singh injured in firing

ASI Sukhchain Singh was allegedly fired upon while returning home from duty. According to the information available, a bullet passed through his left arm, leaving him injured.

Following the incident, Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) P.K. Sinha also reached Ajnala and met the injured ASI.
