Will Punjab School Holidays extend beyond September 7?

Well, it depends the IMD's alert which is yet to come for the coming days. However, it is highly unlikely that schools will be opened in districts that are worst affected by floods as water level is still in the process of cutting down.

However, since, there were no rainfall in the past two days i.e. on Thursday and Friday, it is being assumed schools will be opened in districts that are now normal.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the schools of the state are slated to open on September 8, but in view of the disastrous conditions prevailing in Punjab, the holidays can be extended again because the schools that have been affected by the floods are still completely filled with water and where the water has receded, there is silt.
