

AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu during a press conference shares various details about the second phase of the ‘Yudh Nashian Virush’ launched by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. Along with this he also highlights the important role that is being played by the ‘Nasha Mukti Morcha’ in this fight against drugs.
He shares that the Nasha Mukti Morcha is divided among five zones: Majha, Doaba and three zones of Malwa that are Malwa East, Malwa West and Malwa Central. He explains how the Nasha Mukti Morcha is playing a big role in the fight against drugs in the state. He further tells how Nasha Mukti Morcha is a wing under the banner of ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign.
Talking about the first phase he emphasizes that the campaign successfully reached each and every village, town and city of Punjab. The residents of Punjab were made aware about the drug menace and included in the fight against drugs. He mentions how a report released recently mentioned that the conviction rate in NDPS cases in Punjab has now touched around 85%. He credits the ongoing campaign against drugs for its key role in achieving this accomplishment. He lauds all the people of Punjab from every town, village and city for their valuable contribution in making the first phase a huge success.
He then shares some important details about the phase two of the campaign and says that currently ‘padyatras’ are taking place across the state that are playing a big role in raising awareness among the masses. He says that the structure of the Nasha Mukti Morcha was very carefully planned and executed in order to reach each and every corner of the state.
He further explains how more than 1 lakh volunteers have joined hands with the government and are working day and night to erase drugs from Punjab.
Pannu informs that the foot marches to raise awareness against drugs are taking place in every corner of Punjab. He shares details about the total number of marches that have been taken place in the five zones of Punjab so far.

5. Malwa West - 1,618
This brings the total number of marches that have taken place across Punjab to 9,099. He affirms that no such district of Punjab is left where the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ has not reached. He lauds the role of general public in the major success and further urges them to continue the fight against the drug menace.
