World Tigers Day was celebrated on July 29, but the last tiger was spotted in Cambodia more than 15 years ago with a camera trap.

Tigers have been eliminated from Nam Et-Phou Louey National Protected Area (NEPL), which is Laos’ largest protected area.

Vietnam is also on the list where tigers have extinct due to poaching & unhabitable areas for the big cats.

Tigers even once existed in Singapore but it is now reportedly extinct in the country.

Tigers went extinct in Kazakhstan many decades ago, but an effort is underway to return this iconic big cat.

The primary reasons due to which tigers are endangered are poaching and illegal wildlife trade.

Tigers are often hunted for their pelts, bones, teeth, and claws, which are then sold on the black market.

In some cultures, tiger parts are believed to have medicinal properties or are used as status symbols.
