N Jagadeesan scored 277 in 141 deliveries scoring 25 boundaries and 15 maximums out of the park, while Sai Sudarshan scored 154 off 102 with the help of 19 boundaries.
Although before getting dismissed from Chetan Anand in the inning’s 42nd over, Jagdeesan smashed 5 world records to his credit and left a huge statement on his fame.
Among the five records that he owned on November 21, yesterday against the poor Arunachal team, Jagadeesan surpassed Rohit Sharma’s highest score of 264 in the history of his List A career.
Jagadeesan’s world record knock was also his fifth consecutive century in the List A career, with this he broke the joint record held by Kumar Sangakkara, SA’s Alviro Petersen, and Devdutt Padikkal.
Among all the double centuries scored to date Jagadeesan’s was the fastest which came in just 114 deliveries.
It was due to this trail-blazing knock that helped Tamil Nadu surpass the world record in terms of highest runs posted on the board in List A cricket history, 506 at the loss of just 2 wickets.

Interestingly, this knock came days later when Jagadeesan was released by Chennai Super Kings in the run-up to the crucial auction of the 2023 season’s IPL.
