The Made in India Mr. 360 was yet again on his top class against Zimbabwe in the Super 12’s last match with his 61 unbeaten off just 25 balls and went on to achieve some unbelievable feats.
Surya Kumar Yadav now holds the record for the highest strike rate in the T20 World Cup 193.96 surpassing the Australian great Michael Hussey’s 175.70 which he set way back in 2010.

Surya Kumar Yadav’s 56 runs in the last five overs is the third-best figure in the history of T20I for India which came after Yuvraj Singh’s 58 vs England and Virat Kohli’s 63 vs Afghanistan in 2022.
4th fastest half-century
Surya Kumar Yadav also earned the credit for the fourth fastest half-century 23 deliveries in the T20Is after Yuvraj Singh’s 12 and 20 balls and KL Rahul’s 18 balls fifty scored in 2007 and 2021 respectively.
1000 T20I runs
Surya Kumar Yadav Enroute his 61 runs knock and became the only second cricketer to hit 1000 runs in the T20I in an ICC calendar year in just 23 innings.
Only Pakistani keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has the feat of 1000 runs in a year to his credit which came in 2021 when he went on to smash over 1300 odd T20I runs.
