According to the reports by the Indian Meteorological Department, IMD, the temperature across various regions of the state has been going above 40°C, as Samrala’s temperature went up to 40.6°C on May 27.

It is to be noted that electricity poles have been damaged due to strong winds, due to which the majority of the regions of the state have been witnessing blackouts due to power cuts.
