Haryana-based YouTuber Armaan Malik's wife Payal Malik has been facing continuous criticism on social media. Payal Malik is currently serving 7-days of religious punishment. Payal had voluntarily asked for 7-days religious punishment during her visit to Mohali's Shri Kali Mata Mandir. To atone for her mistakes, Payal had promised that she will clean the temple 7 days in a row.

Despite Payal's public apology in Goddess Kali temple in Patiala and Mohali, the influencer continued to face social media backlash.

Notably, Payal Malik's Instagram account that has over a million followers suddenly disappeared. Payal Malik's Instagram account was nowhere to be found.

Payal Malik's Insta account has been removed a day after Armaan Malik shared a video on his social media account slamming trolls for calling him a 'non-Hindu'.

Armaan in his video stated that he feels hurt that despite being born in a Hindu family, he is being linked to other religion due to his name.

Payal Malik has accepted the religious punishment as a part of her atonement over an Instagram reel she posted dressed as Goddess Kali. Payal Malik had shared a transformation video in which she was first seen wearing western and then the moment she put Mata Kali's mukut on her head, she transformed into the Hindu goddess.

Payal Malik Kali Mata Video had sparked a massive uproar on social media. Shiv Sena Hind expressed strong objection to the portrayal, alleging that the depiction of the goddess Kali was disrespectful and hurt religious sentiments.

Not only this, but a formal complaint was also filed on July 20 with the Zirakpur Police in Mohali by Shiv Sena Hind's national general secretary, Deepanshu Sood.
