At a time when the world is witnessing an AI-race between tech giants around the world, Sam Altman's OpenAI is slowly and steadily expanding its edge. ChatGPT has been able make its way into almost every businesses, workings and even studies with its 'study mode'.
OpenAI on Thursday rolled its much-awaited GPT 5, calling it the most capable version of its AI yet. The update is designed to make ChatGPT faster, more accurate and easier to use, while removing the need to pick between different model versions.
As per OpenAI, GPT-5 will be available for free for everyone and that users will no longer need to switch between previous models for different tasks.
In a layman's language, it will switch automatically, depending on the kind of request and its complexity. GPT-5 will be available in standard, mini, and nano versions. Paid users will have higher usage limits.

Open AI in their official release emphasizes around Coding. It says 'As a coding collaborator, GPT‑5 tackles complex tasks end-to-end and delivers more readily usable code, better design, and is more effective at debugging.'
For example, "Create an app that allows me to track my dreams, while generating a soundscape and image of each dream".
One of the most important uses of ChatGPT is writing content. After the introduction of GPT-5, Open AI says that it can create clearer, more compelling messaging for everything from stories to speeches and beyond."
For example, suppose you have written your introduction via ChatGPT but you think something is missing. Then, you can wrote, 'Can you make the introduction more engaging?'
OpenAI also says that GPT-5 is the best model till now for health-related questions, providing more precise and reliable responses while acting as more of a proactive thought partner.\
GPT-5 is said to ChatGPT's most reliable model yet. It’s less prone to hallucinations and pretending to know things.
For instance, you must have observed that sometimes, ChatGPT gives you answer despite not having those particular information. Those information are not always factually correct. GPT-5 tends to eliminate those errors and the so called 'hallucinations or pretending to know things'.
As per Open AI, ChatGPT in its previous model was not able to remember past interactions with users. It used to work on repeated users' input and prompts.
Now, with the introduction of GPT-5, it can memorise past interactions. For example if you are using ChatGPT for writing press notes or news on daily basis, it will now remember it.
Earlier, ChatGPT was primarly focused on text-based, with limited or no image, audio capabilities.
With the help of GPT-5, ChatGPT can now understand and generate text, images, audio, and video.
