Several religious places in Dubai have been temporarily closed due to safety and security reasons following instructions from local authorities and with this the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, Hindu Temple Dubai and Shri Krishna Temple Bur Dubai have all been shut until further notice.

According to officials the decision was taken as a precautionary step and the management of Hindu Temple Dubai said the temple will stay closed and requested devotees to cooperate and also prayed for everyone’s safety.

Surender Singh Kandhari Chairman of Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara told that the gurdwara received closure instructions from the Community Development Authority (CDA) and said the step was taken to ensure public safety.

The Shri Krishna Temple in Bur Dubai also announced its closure from April 3, 2026 until further notice and the management apologised for the inconvenience and asked devotees for support.

Many churches in Dubai were also affected and several of them cancelled Good Friday services and stopped in-person gatherings from April 3 with some churches now offering online prayers, while others have asked people to pray at home.
