The residents and citizens of Punjab will witness thunderstorms, rainfall, and gusty winds on June 22, Sunday, and June 23, Monday, according to the latest update by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

On June 20 as well a slight increase in temperature was reported, but recent prediction has revealed that the next 24 hours will bring a decline of around 2 to 3°C.

The current temperature in Jalandhar lies between 36°C and 27°C, and it is expected that significant weather change will happen across the city from Friday onwards as the temperature will significantly decrease, bringing relief to the scorching heat.

As per the recent update by the IMD, the thunder and rain activity will commence from June 19, 2025, Thursday, across several cities of the states and will remain around until June 23, 2025, Monday.

During Tuesday night, the temperature will remain low at 27°C with partial clouded sky with light rain, with a very low predictability.

And the preparations for the same have already commenced, under which the citizens are asked to follow all the basic safety measures, which will surely prevent the spread of infection.

According to the official statement by the IMD, the city will witness episodes of thunderstorms with 70 percent predictability with heavy to very heavy rainfall.
