Babbu Maan accused of singing inappropriate songs at Maa Chintpurni Mahotsav, outfits demand action

There are allegations that Babbu Maan sang inappropriate songs during his live performance at the Maa Chintpurni Mahotsav in Una.

A Hindu outfit in Ludhiana on Monday reached DC office to hand over their 'Maang Patra (Demand Letter)' seeking action against Punjabi singer Babbu Maan. There are allegations that Babbu Maan sang inappropriate songs during his live performance at the Maa Chintpurni Mahotsav in Una, Himachal Pradesh.

The outfit has alleged that despite the sacred jyot from Maa Chintpurni temple installed at the venue, and the stage for the Darbar being prepared, Babbu Maan sang songs promoting alcohol and weapons, which hurt religious sentiments.

The organizations state that neither bhajans were sung nor a respectful atmosphere was maintained at the event held on November 15th and 16th.

Jai Maa Langar Seva Samiti and Dera Massa Bhai Padeen have demanded strict action against Babbu Maan and the organizers.

For the unversed, Maa Chintpurni Mahotsav was held in Una, Himachal Pradesh. A sacred jyot brought from Mata Chintpurni was installed and the entire set was given the appearance of the Maa Chintpurni Darbar. Babbu Maan's performance also took place on the same stage.

Jai Maa Langar Seva Samiti and Dera Massa Bhai Padeen have given their demand letter to Ludhiana DC.

Swami Amreshwar Das talking to the media said that if the event had not been named the Maa Chintpurni Festival, he would not have objected. He said that Babbu Maan did not sing a single song praising the Mother Goddess and created an indecent atmosphere.

The complaint states that Babbu Maan and Amrit Maan did not sing bhajans during the events held on these dates, but instead sang inappropriate songs such as "Mehfil Mitran Di...".
