Dr. Satinder Sartaaj is among the most loved contemporary Punjabi singers. Due to his melody and Sufi songs, Dr. Satinder Sartaaj has made a fan base for himself. The 43-year-old singer has delivered multiple hits like Udaarian, Sajjan Raazi, etc.
Recently, Dr. Satinder Sartaaj opened up about his struggling days when he was still trying to compose songs. The Udaarian singer who hails from Bajrawar village in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, studied at Panjab University in Chandigarh.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Satinder Sartaaj said, "When I started living in Sector 38 (Chandigarh) on rent the issue was I did not know to cook anything. Till you don't go to the university campus, you are not able to eat proper food. I believe in giving yourself some pain. Even today I start helping labourers if I am free. I like living like this."
"Seeing the situation, I gave a punishment to myself that wake up, drink water, compose a song. Only after composing a song you will eat anything. In that way, I did not do breakfast for 1.5 years. I punished myself. Because song is not something like you can compose or write easily on daily basis."
Notably, the Punjabi singer then revealed that the first song he composed following this process was Sai.
