Road in Punjab to be named after singer Satinder Sartaaj; check when and where

In a major development, Punjab singer Satinder Sartaaj is all set to be honoured with a road named after him. As per reports, the Punjab Government has already issued a notification to name a road on Punjabi sufi singer Satinder Sartaaj.

The notification has been issued by the the Public Works Department of the Punjab government has named a road after him. The road will be named 'Dr. Satinder Sartaaj Road'.

The inauguration ceremony for this road will reportedly take place on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 am in Dana Mandi, Chabbewal, Hoshiarpur district.

The ceremony is being organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Minister Harjot Singh Bains, and MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar will be special guests at the ceremony.

A poster of the ceremony reads, "Honouring Dr. Satinder Sartaaj a learned artist & a distinguished personality of Punjab whose life & work continue to inspire generations."

In August 2025, Punjabi singer and actor Satinder Sartaaj won Filmfare Punjabi Awards 2025 for best playback singer male. Satinder Sartaaj was nominated for his song Bhulliye Kive’n in the movie Shayar.

During Punjab flooods, Satinder Sartaaj also sent one month's ration for 500 families in Amritsar. Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney gave the rations to the volunteers of her team and asked them to ensure that the relief material reaches those in need.
