The topic of Government School Holidays on Monday broke the internet after Punjab and other states announces holidays in their state. Punjab has been witnessing incessant rainfall for the past many days. Not only this, 12 districts of Punjab have been reeling under floods.
Keeping these things in mind, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Sunday announced that all schools in the state will remain closed from September 1 to September 3. On Monday, Bains also announced holidays in all colleges from September 1 to September 3.

Uttarakhand: Schools shut down today
The Uttarakhand government has announced a holiday on September 1 for all government, semi-government, and private schools from Classes 1 to 12, as well as Anganwadi centres, in several districts due to the IMD’s heavy rainfall warning.
Schools will remain closed in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Tehri, and Almora districts.
School closed till September 7 in Kerala
Schools in Kerala will remain closed due to the Onam festival.
All schools closed in Jammu & Kashmir
All government and private schools are closed across Jammu on Monday, 1 September, the Directorate of School Education said, citing incessant rain and landslides that lashed the hilly areas of the division. The schools in the region remained closed this week as a precautionary measure amid weather advisories.
