In view of heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal has declared a holiday in all colleges of the district today, September 1. Due to continuous rain, water has accumulated at some places in the city, and keeping in mind transportation issues and public interest, this holiday has been announced.
The Punjab government had already announced holidays in all schools across the state till September 3.
