
The Government of Punjab on Monday issued Punjab Flood 2025 Bulletin in which all facts and figures were given. Punjab has been witnessing one of the worst floods in its history with many of its districts are submerged under water. Indian Armed Forces, Punjab Police, NDRF, NGOs and District Administration have joined hands to rescue people from flood-affected areas.
In order to rescue, Indian Army's Amphibian Best ATOR has been deployed in Amritsar, on the other hand, Indian Ari Force have deployed choppers in order to rescue people and even distribute rations.
As per the bulletin shared the Punjab Government that gives the data between August 1 to September 1, 2025, a total of 12 districts of Punjab have been affected.
In these 12 districts, 1044 villages have been hit by flood. A total of 2,56,107 people have been affected and 3 people are still missing.
A total of 29 people have died in Punjab Floods 2025 in which most are from Pathankot i.e. 6.
Till September 1, a total of 15,688 people have been rescued.
Number of relief camps that have been established is 129 with a total inmates in relief camp stand at 7144
Total agricultural area affected is 94,061 hectare.
To carry out rescue operation, a total of 20 NDRF Teams have been deployed in Punjab.
On the other hand, Indian Air Force has deployed 30-35 helicopters.
A total of 114 boats have also been deployed in the flood affected areas. Also, 1 Punjab's state helicopter has been deployed.
