As per Bajaj Alianz's official website, flood insurance shields homeowners against monetary losses brought on by flood damage. It covers flood-related damage to your house's contents and structure, which is not typically covered by standard home insurance.

It's crucial to understand that while flood damage requires a separate flood insurance policy, water damage from leaks or broken pipes is covered by conventional house insurance.

While some regions experience floods more frequently, heavy rainfall anywhere can lead to flash floods or overflowing rivers. Flood insurance provides financial protection, providing vital coverage for your property in the event of a flood.

If your home becomes uninhabitable due to flood damage, flood insurance may cover additional living expenses, such as temporary housing and meals, while your home is being repaired.
