Popular Punjabi singer-actor Parmish Verma’s much-awaited film 'Shera' has landed in controversy after the Ambala Cantonment Board fined the production team Rs 40,000 for unauthorized shooting near a sensitive Army zone.

Ajay Baweja, a member of the Cantonment Board, confirmed that the filmmakers had not approached the authorities before starting the shoot. “They were using the property without any authorization and creating inconvenience for the public. The board has fined them Rs 10,000 per day for four days, which comes to Rs 40,000,” he said.

Officials added that the fine was imposed not just for shooting without permission, but also for public nuisance and violations of safety protocols in a high-security zone. “The rules are very clear. Any filming within the cantonment requires prior permission, which was completely ignored in this case,” an official said.
