Mouni Roy is once again in the news but this time it is not for her work but instead for her personal life with husband Suraj Nambiar has become a topic of online discussion after rumours of trouble in their marriage started spreading on social media.
The speculation began in the last few days when many users noticed something unusual on Instagram and observed that Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar appeared to have unfollowed each other on the platform and this small change quickly led to big rumours online with many assuming that there might be problems in their relationship or even a possible separation however, there has been no official confirmation of any separation from either side.
As the rumours grew Mouni Roy finally responded and addressed the situation through her Instagram Stories and in her message she requested media houses and public not to spread false information and clearly asked everyone to respect her privacy and allow them personal space during this time. Her note was simple and direct where she urged people not to publish or believe false narratives about her personal life.
Following this another detail added to online discussion was that Suraj Nambiar has reportedly deleted his Instagram account and at same time it was also noticed that Mouni had unfollowed him however she has not deleted all memories of their relationship from social media and her Instagram still shows pictures from their wedding in 2022 as well as moments from their honeymoon and earlier celebrations.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar’s relationship goes back several years and the two first met in 2018 during a New Year celebration in Dubai where they were introduced by mutual friends and soon developed a close bond and at the same time they were living in different cities. Suraj was based in Dubai for work while Mouni was working in Mumbai and despite the distance they continued their relationship and often travelled to meet each other.
After dating for a few years the couple got married in 2022 and their wedding celebrations were held in different styles including a Malayali ceremony and a Bengali ceremony in Goa and the wedding also included traditional pre-wedding functions like haldi and mehendi. Before marriage Mouni had never openly confirmed her relationship in public and she shared her first wedding pictures in January 2022 and wrote that she had finally found her partner and asked for love and blessings from everyone. The post showed the couple starting a new chapter together.
On the professional side Mouni Roy is well known in the entertainment industry and she became popular with TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and later gained major recognition with Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev while she also starred in the hit show Naagin. In films she appeared in movies like Gold, Made in China and Brahmastra.
