

Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh faced a racist comment during his visit to Australia for his Aura Tour. The incident occurred when someone called him a ”truck driver.” Following the backlash, Australian Minister Julian Hill has apologized to Diljit, stating that such behavior is unacceptable and does not represent Australia.
Julian Hill, who serves as the Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs condemned the remarks made by a small group of ignorant people, calling them completely wrong. He also praised Diljit’s dignified response, saying the singer handled the situation with grace and humility, which clearly shows who the bigger person is.
Hill further extended a warm welcome to Diljit in Australia.
This incident took place when Diljit arrived in Australia for his concert as part of the Aura Tour Before the concert, he posted a video from the airport, which received several comments online some people called him a cab driver. Responding to this, Diljit said he doesn’t consider any job small and respects all kinds of work equally. He added that the earth belongs to everyone and that he holds no hatred toward those who made such remarks.
