The provisional date sheet of Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2026 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). According to the provisional datesheet the exams will begin from February 17, 2026. For class 10th the final exam will be held on March 9 and for Class 12, the final exam will be conducted on April 9, 2026.
This advance datesheet is heavenly bliss for the students to prepare for their exams subject-wise in well in advance. The advance release benefits the students, parents, and teachers as they will be able to organize their preparation without last-minute rush and tension. The board has released this schedule to make the exams, practicals, and tests smooth and announce the results on time.
Around 45 lakh students will be taking the exams in more than 200 subjects in India and 26 other nations where CBSE is affiliated. A two-stage system of exams, according to CBSE, should also be introduced to give the students a second opportunity to enhance their marks in the same academic year.
- Duration of exams: 17th February to 9th March, 2026
- Time of exams: 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM
- Dates of the examinations of major subjects:
- 17th February: Mathematics (Standard and Basic)
- 21st February: English (Communicative and Literature)
- 25th February: Science
- 7th March: Social Science
- 9th March: Regional and foreign languages such as Telugu, Arabic, Russian, Persian, Nepali
- Core subjects, languages, vocational papers, and technology subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Computer Applications.

- Mid-July 2026 will see the declaration of results

- February 20-22: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics
- March 1-4: Economics, Physical Education, English
- April 7-9: Regional languages and elective courses

The students along with their parents are expected to monitor updates pertaining to new and modified schedules on the official website of CBSE (cbse.gov.in). Also, the board aims to reduce the stress caused due to the exam, and the schedule along with the aims in the schedule will, in turn, enable students to prep properly and without any stress and hesitation to provide the needed allowance.
