Gold hits record for first time in Navratri; Crosses ₹1 Lakh mark

Close to Diwali, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, gold prices hit a record high for 24-carat gold. For the 6th day of Sharadiya Navratri, the 24-carat gold prices were  ₹1,14,890, and gold was sold for  ₹1,14,890 in all the major and big cities of the country and was sold for these prices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.

For the first time in the country, for this time of the year, gold prices were this high and for this time of the period, gold prices were this high and for this time of the period.  

Passing the Navratri mark, gold prices gained required demand due to festivities. Buyers and sellers alike were excited for the Diwali market. India was the 1st in the world to sell gold for these prices in this time of the year.

Culturally and economically, this new peak for gold prices is remarkable, especially just before Diwali, where gold is considered a sign of affluence and abundance.
