The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the 21st CTET will take place on 8 February 2026 (Sunday). The exam will be held in two shifts Paper I and Paper II across various locations in the country.
As per the CBSE notification, the CTET 2026 will be organized in 20 different languages and in 132 cities nationwide, making it accessible to a large number of teaching aspirants. CTET continues to be one of the key qualifying tests for candidates aiming for teaching jobs in government and affiliated schools.
CBSE has also stated that the detailed Information Bulletin including the exam pattern, syllabus, available languages, eligibility requirements, exam fee details, list of exam cities, and all important dates will soon be released on the official CTET website.
Candidates are advised to download the bulletin only from the official site, ctet.nic.in, and carefully go through all the instructions before filling out the application form. The board has clarified that the registration process will be completely online, and applications must be submitted only through the official portal once the window opens.
With the announcement of the CTET 2026 exam date, candidates can now begin preparing and keep checking the official website for further updates.
