Air India has extended the suspension of all flights to and from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar until 2359 hrs IST on 2 March 2026, in view of the continuing situation in the Middle East.

The airline has also cancelled select Europe-bound flights scheduled for 2 March 2026 along with their return legs.

The affected services include AI117 (Amritsar–Birmingham), AI151/AI152 (Delhi–Zurich), AI157/AI158 (Delhi–Copenhagen) and AI114 (Birmingham–Delhi).

Air India said that all other flights to North America and Europe will operate as scheduled but may use alternative routings over available Middle East airspaces, which may increase flying time.

Flights to New York’s JFK Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport will operate with technical stops at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.

The airline said it is continuously monitoring the evolving situation and has assessed safety, security, airspace availability and operational feasibility before deciding on the schedule.

Air India expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and said affected guests are being notified through their registered contact details and assisted with alternative travel arrangements.
