The Aarya actress recently opened up about her marriage and revealed why she had never gone through with it. Sushmita discussed her decision and made it plain that her two children Renee Sen and Alisah have never been the reason she has chosen not to get married in an interview with Twinkle Khanna for Tweak India's The Icons.

Sushmita Sen has appeared in a number of blockbuster films, including Sirf Tum, Biwi No. 1, Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya?, Main Hoon Na, and others. Her personal life is also frequently discussed among fans and the media, outside of the movies. 


She said, “Luckily I met some very interesting men in my life, the only reason I never got married is that they were a letdown. It had nothing to do with my kids. My kids were never in the equation. If at all, they have been very gracious. Both my kids have accepted people in my life with open arms, and never made a face. They have given everybody an equal measure of love and respect. It’s the most beautiful thing to watch.”

The actress added, “I came close to getting married thrice, all three times God saved me. I can’t tell you what disasters followed with their respective lives. God protected me, also because God is protecting these two kids, he can’t let me get into a messy affair.”

The relationship between Sushmita Sen and the model Rohman Shawl was unknown. Last year, the ex-couple decided to split. We started out as friends, and we still are!" the user wrote on Instagram. The romance has long since ended... The love endures. 
Alisah and Renee's mother, Sushmita Sen, is a single parent. Renee was adopted in 2000, and Alisah in 2010. 

On the work front, the actress most recently appeared in the Disney+Hotstar series Aarya 2, an official remake of the well-known Dutch criminal drama "Penoza."
