Online food delivery service company Zomato has now announced to deliver food to you in 10 minutes. The company's founder Deepinder Goyal has named this service Zomato Insta. The service will also start from next month. However, due to this Zomato faced a lot of backlash on Twitter.
Deepinder issued a clarification over Zomato’s 10-minute delivery controversy on Tuesday.
Here’s how Zomato will deliver scrumptious food within 10-minutes
Deepinder shared a plan on social media to prepare and deliver food in 10 minutes. There will be finishing stations that will remain in high-demand areas. These stations will house close to 20-30 bestseller dishes from various restaurants based on demand and predictability and hyper-local preferences. For this, the help of state-of-the-art technology will also be taken.
What food items will be delivered within 10-minutes?
Deepinder told that only selected food items will be delivered through Zomato Insta service. On this menu, you can order food like Bread Omelette, Poha, Coffee, Tea, Biryani, Momos, Maggi. New food stations are being prepared to provide service in 10 minutes.
Deepinder said, “Customers are increasingly demanding quicker answers to their needs. They don’t want to plan, and they don’t want to wait. In fact, sorting restaurants by fastest delivery time is one of the most used features on the Zomato app."
“I started feeling that the 30-minute average delivery time by Zomato is too slow, and will soon have to become obsolete. If we don’t make it obsolete, someone else will,” he added.
