10 Countries where Indian tourists are welcome now

From Mauritius to Turkey, here are 10 countries that are now open for Indian travellers.

After India started reporting devastating figures during her second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, several countries had banned the entry of Indian travellers inside their boundaries. However, now that the cases have decreased many countries have opened their borders for the Indian travellers, but with certain conditions.

People arriving from India will either have to furnish a negative RT-PCR Covid report or will be required to undergo quarantine there.

So, if you want to have some leisure time and want to get away from the pandemic stress, here are the lists of 10 countries where Indians are welcomed now. 

Russia


Flight operations were recently resumed in Russia to revive the tourism industry, however, travellers are required to carry a  negative RT-PCR test report with them which must be issued not less than 72 hours before their arrival. Travellers have to keep in mind that antibody tests will not be accepted.

Turkey


In Turkey too you have to show a negative Covid test result that has not been conducted not more than 72 hours before boarding their flight. Tourists have to go through a quarantine period for 14 days in locations as determined by Turkish authorities. One may also have to witness random PCR testing upon their arrival in Turkey. 

Iceland


Travellers can furnish proof of previous infection and recovery or certificate of vaccination (Covishield in India’s case). It will exempt one from providing a negative PCR-test result. However, all arriving tourists will have to undergo a Covid screening upon arrival, which will have no exceptions. Quarantine will be mandatory till one will take another test five days later. And once the resorts are negative, your quarantine period also ends. 

Serbia


Indians are also welcome in Serbia, unlike other countries, you have to provide a report with an RT-PCR report that is no older than 48 hours for entry.

Egypt


Though the number of flights has been reduced in Egypt, travellers need to provide an RT-PCR test report that is not older than 72 hours before arrival. Tourists will also have to quarantine at their locations of stay till their negative result arrives. 

Uzbekistan


Negative Covid report that is not older than 72 hours before arrival, 14 days quarantine is standard rules to be followed when visiting Uzbekistan. 

Afghanistan


Indian travellers will have to produce a negative Covid report, not older than 72 hours before arrival. Visitors are advised to not travel to Kabul due to the rise in Coronavirus cases there. 

South Africa


Visiting this happening nation you will need an RT-PCR test report, which should not be older than 72 hours before arrival. Reports say that those visiting South Africa will need to self-quarantine at their own expense if they fail to provide their vaccination proof or a negative Covid report. 

Costa Rica


Travelling to Costa Rica, Indians will neither need a vaccination certificate or an RT-PCR test report. However, tourists will have to fill out a health pass application upon arrival at this rainforest Central American country.

Mauritius


Want to Travel to Mauritius, you have to wait a little longer, as the island country will reopen for international travellers from July 15. COVID test report, followed by a 14-day quarantine period is what you need to enjoy a vacation amid the sea covered Mauritius.
