Holi brought chaos in Madhya Pradesh political fraternity and for the Congress when news broke out that Congress's top leader Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned from Congress on Tuesday. Scindia is known to be very close to the Gandhi family, but as per him, he was sidelined by his own party Congress. So what now?

Ten Points You Need To Know After Scindia's exist from Congress

1) As per reports, Jyotiraditya Scindia is expected to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at 12:30 pm on Wednesday in one of the biggest surprise Congress has faced recently. 

2) It was Scindia's star campaigning that led Congress to win state elections in Madhya Pradesh, however, Congress chose Kamal Nath as the Chief Minister. Going by the reports,  Jyotiraditya Scindia felt he was sidelined in Congress despite his work to bring the party back in power.

3)Senior Congress leader and former CM Digvijaya Singh has rubbished the claims of Scindia being sidelined in Congress.

4) After Scindia accused Congress of sidelining him, Madhya Pradesh Congress tweeted a list of all the key positions Jyotiraditya Scindia enjoyed in his 18-year career with the Congress party. Congress tried to remind Scindia that in the past 17 years he enjoyed many eminent positions which include a Lok Sabha MP, as a Union minister and other important positions.

5) Jyotiraditya Scindia sent his resignation from the primary membership of Congress in a letter addressed to Sonia Gandhi. The letter was made public by him after he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah at the PM's residence on Tuesday.

6) After Scindia's resignation, his 22 loyal MLAs also sent their resignations from the government soon after. The resignations are yet to be accepted by the governor. Once accepted, these MLAs are in a position to topple the Kamal Nath government which will be thrown in a minority.

7. BJP has flown down its group of 107 MLAs to Gurugram late on Tuesday night. The MLAs are now lodged at a luxury hotel in Gurugram. Around 17 Congress MLAs, loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia went underground since Monday. They are believed to be in Bengaluru from where they showed their resignation letters.

8. Congress will now be flying down its remaining 92 MLAs to Jaipur and lodge them at a luxury resort to stop any kind of horse-trading.

9. Congress has 114 MLAs in the 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly while the BJP has 107 MLAs. If the 22 MLAs join BJP along with Jyotiraditya Scindia, the numbers will stack up in favour of BJP.

10. Four Independent MLAs, two lawmakers of the Bahujan Samaj Party and one Samajwadi Party legislator are supporting the Congress-led government.
