The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, on Monday, arrested former minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot for amassing assets disproportionate case. Post this, sources from Vigilance Bureau have revealed that it has initiated an inquiry against almost 11-12 Congress Ex-ministers.

The names of these ministers include former Deputy CM OP Soni, Brahm Mohindra, Vijay Inder Singla, Balvir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Kangar, Sunder Sham Arora, Capt. Amarinder Singh’s ex-advisor Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Barindermeet Singh Pahra, Madan Lal Jalalpuri and Bharat Bhushan Ashu. Whereas inquiries against some of the ministers have already started the others are on the radar of the Vigilance Bureau.

These initiated inquiries are more dangerous and problem-arising for Bhartiya Janta Party as compared to Congress. There are some prominent ministers like Gurpreet Kanger, Sunder Sham Arora and Balvir Sidhu who left Congress and joined BJP. If inquiries are initiated against any of them then it would not be a really great thing for BJP’s reputation.

Sources have also revealed that an inquiry against Capt. Amarinder Singh’s ex-advisor BI Chahal is also on cards as Vigilance Bureau has some evidence against the same. If an inquiry takes place then surely Capt. Amarinder Singh will be involved in this case which will again be a huge problem for BJP.

There are also speculations that complaint against former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi was also registered in the Vigilance Bureau but till now there has been no official confirmation about the same. The sources have further added that Vigilance Bureau is also investigating officers under which these corruption activities were carried out. So, it is very clear that along with 11-12 ministers, certain officers are also on Vigilance Radar.
