The Directorate of Government Exams (DGE), Tamil Nadu declared the result for the Higher Secondary or class 12 exams today at 11 am. The students can check the results through the websites- official websites – http://tnresults.nic.in, http://dge1.tn.nic.in, http://dge2.tn.nic.in and http://dge.tn.gov.in.dge.tn.gov.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, tnresults.nic.in. In 2021, 8,18,129 students had registered for the TN HSC board exam. Of them, 1,656 students had been absent from the exams and 8,16,473 students passed. Around 9 lakh students have registered in plus two this year. The Tamil Nadu board exam 2021 for Class 12 was cancelled due to the pandemic and the state government decided to mark the students based on an alternative marking scheme.
The Tamil Nadu 12th result 2021 was declared on an evaluation formula putting 50% weightage on the TN Class 10 board exam marks (average of the best three subjects), 20% on the TN Plus One or Class 11 marks, and 30% on the TN Class 12 practicals and internal assessment marks.
The TN 12th result 2019 pass percentage was 91.3%. A total of 8,69,423 candidates had registered for the exam in 2019 out of which 8,42,512 appeared. A total of 26,911 students missed the exam.
In 2018, a total of 8,60,434 students appeared against 9,07,620 who had registered. In 2018, the overall Tamil Nadu 12th result pass percentage was 91.1%.
The evaluation criteria for TN 12th result were prepared based on the report submitted by a 10-member committee. Following are the important points and highlights:

· Class 11 marks carried 20% weightage
· Class 12 internal assessment and practical exams carried 30% weightage
