14th Hockey India Junior Men National Hockey Championship: Punjab won the title by defeating Uttar Pradesh

Punjab has captured the title of the 14th Hockey India Junior Men's National Hockey Championship by defeating Uttar Pradesh 7-6 in a shootout. The final match of this championship organized by Hockey Punjab at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium was very exciting. Prizes were distributed to the winning teams by Ashok Mittal MP Rajya Sabha and Hockey India President Dilip Tirki.

The final match of this championship organized by Hockey Punjab at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium was very exciting. Prizes were distributed to the winning teams by Ashok Mittal MP Rajya Sabha and Hockey India President Dilip Tirki.

On this occasion, Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey congratulated for the successful organization of this championship and said that Hockey Punjab has always contributed a lot to Indian hockey. He said that Hockey India will conduct more championships in Punjab in the near future.

On this occasion, Chief Guest Ashok Mittal congratulated Hockey Punjab and announced a cash prize of one lakh rupees to the winning team. He said that he will always give his services for further expansion in Punjab.

The final match was enjoyed by a large number of spectators. In the opening moments of the match, the Punjab team dominated. Sukhwinder Singh of Punjab scored a goal in the 5th minute of the game to make the score 1-0. After that, in the 31st minute of the game, Uttar Pradesh's Ajit Yadav scored to make the score 1-1. German Singh of Punjab scored a goal in the 33rd minute of the game to make the score 2-1. Jobanpreet Singh of Punjab scored a goal in the 39th minute of the game to make the score 3-1. In the 48th minute of the game, Suraj Pal and Akash Pal in the 54th minute scored goals to bring Uttar Pradesh equal. Four goals were scored by Punjab and three by Uttar Pradesh in the shoot out.

Earlier in the third place match, Haryana defeated Karnataka 5-0 to clinch the third place.
