Racial discrimination and attacks on civilians are on the rise in New York. A video of an attack on two Sikh youths has surfaced near Richmond Hill in New York. According to the police, one person has been arrested in this case. The case is being investigated by New York Police under hate crime. A Sikh youth was attacked at the same place 10 days ago.

According to local media reports, some people first thrashed Sikh youths walking on the road with sticks and then took off their turbans. By the time police personnel reached the spot after the incident, the accused fled. Local leaders associated with the Sikh organization also reached the spot and raised slogans against the police.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has condemned the incident by tweeting. He said that the police is taking action against the criminals. If common people have any information, then share it with the police.

Jenifer Rajkumar, the first Sikh woman member of the New York Assembly, tweeted that this is an alarming situation. Cases of hate crimes against the Sikh community are increasing in America.

Earlier, a 75-year-old man was attacked. The elderly man had just arrived in New York on a visitor visa two weeks ago. The Sikh man was allegedly attacked during a morning walk; his nose broke and sustained serious injuries.
