Bollywood’s iconic film, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ completed 22 glorious years today. The film that starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in lead roles, is still one of the most loved films. However, did you know that Shah Rukh Khan had called the film’s original story ‘utterly nonsensical’?
Yes, you read that right! At an event celebrating 20 years of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed that Karan Johar came to him and narrated him an utterly nonsense crap story to him, which is certainly not the one that finally people saw in the film.

Elaborating further, SRK added that in his strange way Karan, the man with many words tried to impress the actor with his story. The superstar revealed that he did not understand the story when he signed in. However, SRK added that he is glad that he did not get into the story and just went ahead with the conviction of Karan, otherwise the film would have not been the way it came out.

‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ marked the directorial debut of esteemed filmmaker Yash Johar’s son Karan Johar. The film is considered to be one of the cult films of Bollywood. Apart from the three lead casts, the movie also starred Salman Khan in a special cameo.
The film also featured Archana Puran Singh, Farida Jalal, Sana Saeed, Anupam Kher, Himani Shivpuri and others in key roles.
