Dattasaid that, “He received a phone call from Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur,  mother of Gursewak Singh who was suffering fromcovid-19 & later succumbed to death. According to her, he allegedly dieddue to negligent conduct of PIMS Hospital where another patient named RadhaRani who also lost her battle to covid-19 a few days back solely due to thenegligence of the hospital’s staff.

AfterGursewak was referred from Nawanshahr his mother got him admitted in PIMShospital, where he was tested positive for the virus. When his mother tried to ask Doctor Sharma about the same, heallegedly misbehaved with her and went to the extent of saying “mai tere thapadmarna” that “I will slap you and there is nothing wrong with the treatment.”Ultimately her son who was repeatedly wailing that I am going to die, succumbedto death early morning on the same day.

“Beinga mother Kamaljit Kaur was concerned about her son’s health and she did notdeserve this kind of behavior from the doctor.” , said Datta. “Threatening amother who is scurrying in the hospital for saving her son’s life isunacceptable and against the ethics of medical profession”, he added.
