Om Vir Singh, a 64-year-old long-distance runner and athlete, has come out in order to support farmer protest movement 'Bharat Bandh' called by farmers. He said , he does for the sake of our Indian farmer.
Moreover, Singh told, "I am showing my harmony with the protesting farmers by running. Ever since the agitation began, I've been running for 15 km every day. Going forward, as long as the farmers are sitting here, I will continue to run 21 kilometres every day in support of their demands." Mr. Singh is resident of Uttar Pradesh and is also a farmer. But he is staying in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad these days. His son and daughter are living in abroad.
Singh has been pursuing running sincerely for the past 25 years and will even compete in a 21-kilometre marathon next week. In view of the call for Bharat Bandh, according to security arrangements at Ghazipur border are seeming to be strict and a large number of police personnel have been deployed.
