Modi introduces 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaign; Ministers add 'Chowkidar' to their Twitter handles as prefix

This move comes as a response to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's jibe at PM Modi as the Congress Chief has been saying it several times that 'Chowkidar hi Chor hai'

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the #MainBhiChowkidar campaign on Saturday, the movement got immense amount of response from the BJP followers and youth with #MainBhiChowkidar on the trending list of twitter. Now, taking the campaign to next level, the BJP leaders and followers have added a prefix to their Twitter handles with 'Chowkidar'.

This move comes as a response to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's jibe at PM Modi as the Congress Chief has been saying it several times that 'Chowkidar hi Chor hai'.

"Kaho dilse (Let us speak from our heart, let us have 'Chowkidar' Narendra Modi as PM again," tweeted BJP chief Amit Shah.

The senior BJP leaders who have added the 'Chowkidar' prefix to their name are J P Nadda, Piyush Goyal, Suresh Prabhu and Dharmendra Pradhan.

"Anyone who is doing his/her bit in getting India free of dirt, corruption and social-evils is a chowkidar"," said Commerce Minister Prabhu.

Just like 2014 Lok Sabha Campaigns, when BJP had used the 'Chaiwala' jibe of Congress in their campaigns, BJP has now unveiled a 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaigining video countering the jibe thrown at Prime Minister Modi by Rahul Gandhi.

"Your Chowkidar (custodian) is standing firm & serving the nation. But, I am not alone," the Prime Minister posted on the micro blogging site launching the campaign.
