New Delhi: Irked by the accusations slammed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on former ace cricketer and BJP leader Gautam Gambhir of having distributed pamphlets containing obscene remarks about East Delhi AAP candidate Atishi Marlena, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and former batsman VVS Laxman came out in support of Gambhir and vouched for him today 10 May.
VVS Laxman and Harbhajan took on twiiter and vouced that Gambhir could never talk ill of any woman.
VVS Laxman tweeted, “Shocked to hear about yesterday's developments. Having known Gautam Gambhir for nearly 2 decades, I can vouch for his integrity, character and the respect he has for women.”
While Harbhajan Singh tweeted, “I am shocked to note yesterday’s events involving Gautam Gambhir. I know him well and he can never talk ill for any woman. Whether he wins or loses is another matter but the man is above all this.”
AAP leader Atishi Marlena, Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia made accusations against Gambhir of distributing pamphlet which included derogatory comment on Atishi, who apart from denying them, called them baseless and also condemned the words written in the said pamphlet.
