Voters all set to decide the fate for 95 constituencies, second phase of polling commences

The voting will take place from 7 in the morning till 6 in the evening. Along with 1600 candidates, the second phase of polling will decide the fate of many prominent leaders

New Delhi: Approx 16 crore voters are going to cast their vote for the second phase of Lok sabha elections on Thursday. A total of 11 states and 1 union territory are voting to elect representatives on 95 seats.

The second phase of voting will include states like Assam, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Union Territory Puducherry.

The voting will take place from 7 in the morning till 6 in the evening. Along with 1600 candidates, the second phase of polling will decide the fate of many prominent leaders which includes Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, BJP lawmaker Hema Malini, Senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily, Rajya Sabha lawmaker Kanimozhi, Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah.

The first phase of lok sabha elections has already been concluded with Tripura getting the maximum turnout of voters with 81.8 percent while Bihar turnout was the lowest with 50 percent. The 2019 general elections is taking place in seven phases. The result will be announced on May 23.
