On Monday, December 20, during the discussion on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill in the Rajya Sabha, Samajwadi Party MP and actor Jaya Bachchan lost her cool and ‘cursed’ a member, after he made a personal remake.
Jaya Bachchan said, “Aap logon ke bure din aayenge (your bad days will come soon). I cruse you.”

Here’s what happened:-

During addressing the Chair in the Rajya Sabha, Jaya Bachchan said, “We want justice. We don't expect justice from there (treasury benches), but can we expect it from you? How are you protecting the members of this house or the 12 members sitting outside? How are you protecting them?”

As the discussion proceeded, House members protested around her as she continued her efforts to speak. To this, Ms Bachchan responded, “What is going on? This is terrible... Aap logon ke bure din aayenge, (Your bad days will come). I cruse you.”

A heated fight erupted when BJP MP Rakesh Sinha raised a point of order accusing Bachchan of pointing the Chair. She also demanded that the Chair take action against members who she accused of making “personal statements” about her.

The SP MP’s outburst came on the same day, her daughter-in-law and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was investigated by the Enforcement Directorial (ED) in connection with the Panama Papers expose for allegedly violating FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act).

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai was quizzed for more than five hours by the officials of the ED at its Jam Nagar. A team of six officials, including a lady official, recorded her statement.
