The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has started preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Punjab next year. On Sunday, the party's chief Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a three-hour meeting with the MLAs of Punjab. In which the details of his performance along with the political situation in Punjab were discussed. In the meeting, all the MLAs demanded Kejriwal to declare the chief minister's face at the earliest to fetch a bigger share of assembly seats. Kejriwal has reiterates that only Sikh face will be made the Chief Minister in Punjab. After which the curiosity has increased in the political fizz of Punjab, who will that face be? In the last election too, the Aam Aadmi Party lagged behind the expected seat rally as its opponents made it a poll issue that Kejriwal himself wanted to become the Chief Minister of Punjab. This time the AAP MLAs do not want to repeat the mistake of 2017 and urges Kejriwal to announce the name of the party CM face in Punjab.

After meeting with Kejriwal, now the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab will cash in on the issues of agricultural reform law, sacrilege and power agreement. Kejriwal has clearly said in the meeting that all possible help should be given to the agitating farmers. Apart from this, till now the culprits of sacrilege are roaming freely. Due to this case, not only did the Akalis get out of power last time but they also did not get the votes worthy to be in the main opposition party. AAP feels that these issues are going to hurt Congress prospect during the coming elections as the party has already reeled under severe infighting within party rank and file.

Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab chief Bhagwant Mann said that after the meeting with Arvind Kejriwal, all doubts have been clear and the party cadre in Punjab is ready to hold the Congress party head-on. Mann targeted the Captain regarding the power agreement and said that if the contract would have ended by writing a letter, then why the Captain Government remained silent for four and a half years? These agreements are written by the companies, they cannot be terminated so easily. Mann said that the party would go to the public on all issues.
