AAP's Sanjeev Arora takes oath as Ludhiana's West MLA

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjeev Arora on Saturday morning officially took oath as a Member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly in the presence of Chief Minister SIngh Bhagwant Mann at the Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh. Sanjeev Arora had recently secured victory in the Ludhiana West by-election held on June 19, defeating Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu by a margin of 10,637 votes.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan administered the oath. During the ceremony, Arora pledged his allegiance to the Constitution of India, vowing to uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the nation and to faithfully discharge his duties as an elected legislator. A day prior to the swearing-in ceremony, Arora, along with his family, had met AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, signaling the party’s strong backing and unity ahead of future political moves.

During the victory road show that was attended by CM Mann, AAP Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, Sanjeev Arora, in his address, said, "This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every single resident of Ludhiana West. This is your win, your city’s win. Neither anger nor arrogance worked this time—only love and accountability did. I’ve always respected you, and now you’ve given me even more respect by placing your faith in me. If this is just the trailer, then trust me, the movie will be a superhit.”
