Sukhmeet Pal Singh, alias Sukh Bhikhariwal, the prime suspect in the Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh’s killing case, who was deported from Dubai and arrested in Delhi on December 31, 2020, has now been handed over to Gurdaspur Police on production warrant.
The gangster is linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence. Besides, the Delhi Police had earlier claimed that Pakistan was using Punjab-based gangsters for targeted killings and that the Balwinder was killed by gangsters owing to personal enmity of his son.
Divulging more details, SP Harvinder Singh Sandhu said that gangster Sukh Bhikhariwal has many criminal cases related to murder, robbery, drugs, etc registered in Gurdaspur for which he has been brought on a production warrant to the city for questioning.
He also said the gangster was involved in the Nabha Jail break and that he since long has been involved in target killings at the behest of Pak handlers linked to ISI.
