
SamajwadiParty chief Akhilesh Yadav who triggered political controversy in January afterhe made remarks that he will not get himself injected with a “BJP vaccine”against coronavirus, has tested positive for Covid-19.
ThoughSamajwadi Party chief then asserted that he had never insulted the scientistswho developed it, however, he could not trust a vaccine which would be used byBJP government.
Hethen also raised doubts against the vaccines which were set to be rolled out inthe country those days, saying what happened with the Haryana minister who hadgot himself vaccinated.
Meanwhile,Akhilesh gave this information in a tweet that he tested positive and advisedall those who had come into contact with him in recent days, to get themselvestested.
Hesaid that he had isolated himself at home and taking treatment as perprescribed protocol.
Akhileshhad recently visited Haridwar where he met a number of saints and seers. Someof the saints, including Mahant Narendra Giri, later tested positive for Covid.
OnTuesday, Akhilesh got himself tested for Covid-19 and the report which came onWednesday, showed that he is positive for the virus.
