Akshay Kumar unveils 'Ram Setu' look as an archaeologist, asks fans for their opinions

Ram Setu has begun filming. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharruccha as well.

Actor Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share his first look in the film "Ram Setu". The actor began shooting for the film on Tuesday. The actor revealed that he is playing an archaeologist in the film.

Calling it "one of the most special films", Akshay can be seen sporting a long hairdo and glasses and has also asked fans for their opinion on his look.

He wrote, "The journey of making one of the most special films for me begins today. #RamSetu shooting begins! Playing an archaeologist in the film. Would love to hear your thoughts on the look? It always matters to me.”

 

The film co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrrat Bharucha.

The mahurat of the film was shot at Ayodhya a few days back. The cast including Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharruccha went to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple where they performed a puja before officially starting the shoot. 

"Ram Setu" is directed by Abhishek Sharma and is produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra. A major portion of the film will be shot in Mumbai. 

Earlier, Akshay described the film as a “bridge between generations past, present and future.” 

Filmmaker Abhishek Sharma has previously helmed films like Tere Bin Laden, The Zoya Factor and the recent Manoj Bajpayee-Diljit Dosanjh starrer Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari.

Amazon Prime Video will be co-producing the Akshay Kumar starrer action-adventure drama, and the other two production houses financing the film are Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. 

On the work front, Akshay has multiple projects in his pocket. He has wrapped up Bachchan Pandey and Atrangi Rey, Rohit Shetty - Sooryavanshi, and spy thriller — Bell Bottom.
