‘RAY’: Ali Fazal Nominated for Best Actor at Asia Content Awards by Busan Film Fest

Ali Fazal has been nominated for a best actor category for his performance as Ispit Nair in the Netflix anthology 'Ray' in the 'Forget Me Not' segment.

Mumbai: The Busan International Film Festival has nominated Bollywood actor Ali Fazal for the Asia Content Awards in the Best Actor category.

Ali Fazal has been nominated for a best actor category for his performance as Ispit Nair in the Netflix anthology 'Ray' in the 'Forget Me Not' segment. 

"Wow!" Ali said when asked about the nomination. This came as a complete surprise. I am really honoured to get this nomination, and being acknowledged by ACA means a great deal to me. This year in Asia, there was a lot of fantastic content generated, and to be nominated amid such an impressive lineup of films and actors is an honour.”

The film is a contemporary version of Satyajit Ray's narrative 'Bipin Chaudhary Ka Smriti Bhram,' directed by Srijith Mukherji. Ali portrays a ruthless business shark with a computer-like memory who never forgets anything.

Lat year, in the second season of Mirzapur , he reprised his role as Guddu Pandit. He also plays Andrew Katchadouriaan in the film Death on the Nile, which is based on Agatha Christie's novel of the same name.

He became a producer in 2021. With Richa Chadha, he founded Pushing Buttons Studios, a film production business.

The Asian Contents and Film Market 
(ACFM) of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is hosting the third Asian Contents Awards (ACA) . The ACA strives to showcase exceptional Asian TV, OTT, and online content.

Korean drama and Netflix originals ruled the ACA this year.
