Alia Bhatt, one of the mostpromising actresses of Bollywood has confirmed that she has tested positive forthe coronavirus. The confirmation came at late night on April 1 when Aliashared a story on Instagram.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhattconfirmed the news on her Instagram story which reads, “Hello all, I havetested positive for Covid 19. I have immediately isolated myself and will beunder home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice ofmy doctor.” She expressed her gratitude to people for their love and supportand urged people to follow safety protocol. “Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and takecare,” she added.
Alia Bhatt has been busy shootingin Mumbai for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. In early March, Bhansalihad tested positive for corona. A few days after Bhansali, Alia’s sweetheartRanbir Kapoor also tested positive for Covid19 and was under home quarantine. Ranbirand Alia were shooting for their upcoming movie Bhramastra whose release hasbeen delayed.
In recent weeks, many Bollywoodcelebrities have tested positive for coronavirus. The legendary Bollywoodsinger Bappi Lahiri also tested positive on 31st March. Lahiri was hospitalizedafter he was diagnosed with ‘mild Covid19 symptoms and is now treated atMumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. At the end of March, ‘Mismatched’ fame RohitSaraf also tested positive for coronavirus.
In a recent interview with RajeevMasand, Ranbir Kapoor had revealed his plans of getting married to Alia Bhatt.He said that he and Alia were planning to marry in 2020, however, Covid-19struck. The actor stated, “It would’ve been sealed had the pandemic not hit ourlives. I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick-mark thatgoal very soon in my life.”
