
To ensure the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat-SarbatSehat Bima Yojna to the targeted beneficiaries at the grass-roots level of thedistrict, the district administration has chalked out a multi-pronged strategyfor stepping up the enrolment under the ambitious cashless health insuranceprogram of the state government by involving elected representatives and allstakeholders.
Chairing a meeting at Guru Nanak Bhawan here today,Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat BhushanAshu today said that all stakeholders should contribute in maximum generationof e-cards under Ayushman Bharat-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna.
This meeting was attended by a large number of municipalcouncillors, GoGs, traders etc.
Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that the Punjab government iscommitted for providing welfare schemes for the benefit of common man atgrassroots level. He said that maximum private hospitals are covered under thisscheme and best healthcare facilities would be provided to them under thisscheme. He urged all elected representatives to take this scheme to the massesso that maximum number can be benefitted from it.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said that thedistrict administration is already holding 130 enrolment camps in ruralLudhiana and for the urban population, the Sewa Kendras, Common Service Centres(CSCs) and Suvidha Kendras are already on the job to maximize the coverage oftargeted beneficiaries.
Soliciting the support of elected representatives, heasked them to sensitize the people about the benefits of the program. Hefurther said that the administration would also organise camps in their areaswhere the people can enroll themselves and asked the officials work to preparethe roster of the camps accordingly to ensure none of the beneficiaries remainleft out of the scheme.
He said that under the scheme, cashless treatment up toRs 5 lakh is being offered to the beneficiaries. He said that cashlesssecondary care & tertiary care treatment of 1396 packages in public andimpanelled private hospitals of Punjab is being given to the people under thescheme. Further, he mentioned that the list of impanelled hospitals andeligibility of the beneficiaries can be viewed at sha.punjab.gov.in.
He said that the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (PMJAY)families as per Socio-Economic Caste Census (2011), E-Smart Ration Cardholders,farmers who have been issued J-Forms by Punjab Mandi Board and their family members,traders registered with Excise and Taxation Department and construction workersregistered with the construction worker’s welfare board and all journalistsaccredited to the state government or holding yellow cards are eligible underthe scheme.
He added that the eligible beneficiaries could get theire-card generated through a network of 100 Common Service Centres across thedistrict at Rs 30 and the same service can be obtained in the governmenthospitals in the district free of cost.
