Thereseems to be no end in the investigation pertaining to the Antilia Bomb Scareand Businessman Mansukh Hiren’s death. In yet another move, the NIA has today seizeda high-end car allegedly used by arrested-suspended cop Sachin Vaze.
Vazeis the prime accused in the SUV planting case near the home of industrialistMukesh Ambani. This is so far the eighth vehicle seized by NIA as part of theinvestigations. This time it's a white Mercedes which has been found fromPanvel in Raigad district.
TheNIA through seizing these vehicles is trying to ascertain whether the car is inany way linked with the Antilia Bomb scare case or the death of Thanebusinessman Mansukh Hiren.
Earlier,the NIA had already seized a SUV Scorpio, which was abandoned near Antilia with20 gelatin sticks and a threat note, an Innova, 2 black Mercedes Benz, a blackVolvo, a LandCruiser Prado, a white Mitsubishi Outlander.
Effortsare on to trace an Audi vehicle which was seen in CCTV footages in south Mumbaialong with Vaze and another accused, going to an unknown location.
Besidesthe cars, the NIA has recovered several fake registration number plates, a fewbags, Rs 500,000 cash, currency counting machines, clothes, etc from thevehicles as well by divers from the Mithi River last week.
